The Melbourne based company SCS Industries is the largest spa manufacturer in Australia and has recently acquired the Artison forklift for their manufacturing plant in Hallam. The company purchased it’s first Artison forklift unit in 2005. Managing Director Graham Ritchie is so happy with the improvements to his materials handling because of the Artison forklift, that he will be replacing his fleet with Artisons in the near future.

Leading materials handling company, Flexilift Australia Pty Ltd has secured a significant distribution agreement with Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd for the Australian distribution of Hyundai Forklift Equipment. The distribution of Hyundai forklifts adds intensity to the product range of our company’s existing equipment that Flexilift Australia currently distributes nationwide.

Flexilift Australia can now provide forklift equipment up to 16 ton. In conjunction with the Flexi Narrow Aisle and the Sellick Rough Terrain forklift equipment, Flexilift can now offer customers forklift equipment to almost any material warehouse application.

Hyundai Heavy Industries are world leaders in a multitude of technically advanced innovative equipment including shipbuilding, motor vehicle building, power plants, heavy construction equipment and forklifts, just to name a few.

Products manufactured by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co.Ltd are quality assured and will meet or exceed all contract specifications and regulations, in addition to satisfying the needs of every client. Hyundai’s well developed resources for training ensures that Flexilift Australia will continue to offer customers high quality products combined with excellent spare parts and service support.

Sellick Equipment of Canada is entering into an important new partnership in Australia, distributing equipment through Flexilift Australia Pty Ltd. Although Sellick Equipment is no stranger to Australasia, with equipment operating in Australia and Papua New Guinea, both Sellick and Flexilift are expecting rapid growth for its range of equipment. Matt McCormick, Export Manager for Sellick, had this to say about the new partnership: “We’ve been impressed with the maturity and potential of the Australian market for many years, and we know we have products with a wide range of applications throughout the country’s construction, logistics, agriculture and mining industries. Finding the right partner to develop that potential has been the key. That’s why we are so pleased to come together with Flexilift, because we can build on their nationwide footprint. Their experience in successfully launching a specialised forklift, and their after-sales service capacity says a lot about what they bring to the table in our partnership.”

Sellick Equipment has become one of North America’s most innovative manufacturers in the field of rough-terrain materials handling equipment. This started in 1968, when founder Walter Sellick modified a Ford industrial tractor into his first 6,000 lb. forklift for outdoors use. Keeping at the forefront of the industry, Sellick introduced the integral one-piece frame concept across all model lines in 1975. 1987 saw the introduction of a new component designed series featuring various engine options, popular shift-on-the-go transmissions and See Thru roller masts. The introduction of the S-Series forklift and our optional fully automatic Powershift transmission in the late 1990s ushered in the new millenium. In 1995, our Truck Mounted Forklift TMF-55 was introduced, featuring a 2.5 tonne lift capacity and 2 – 3 wheel drive.

Sellick’s broad line of RT forklifts includes: TMF-55 – truck-mounted forklifts up to 2.5 tonnes, increasing efficiencies for users in logistics and trucking S-Series – with lift capacities up to 5.5 tonne and 2WD or 4WD versions SG-Series – more compact machines up to 2.7 tonnes, with a specialised poultry industry model The TMF-55 reduces turn-around time to a minimum thus maximizing the complete delivery system – driver, lorry and trailer. Since the TMF-55 quickly and easily loads itself on the back of a truck or trailer, it saves valuable cargo space and eliminates towing a trailer. Operational efficiency is increased, because the truck driver is also the operator of the forklift.

The Farmworld Exhibition at Lardner Park, Warrigal from Thursday 3rd April to Sunday 6th April 2008 proved to be a successful event for Flexilift over the four days. Over the four days, we had a number of positive enquiries from people requesting more information and proposals for the Sellick rough terrain forklift as well as the Artison counterbalance range. We enjoyed meeting with the people there, and their interest in our products so much so we can say we will be there next year with a larger range for people to view.

Australia’s largest paper distribution Paperlinx recently designed their Queensland distribution centre and is currently using the Flexi Narrow Aisle Articulated electric forklift.

This bold move allowed Paperlinx to utilize their warehouse to maximum capacity. The strategically designed warehouse also cut operational costs to the company as the Flexi Narrow Aisle Forklift is able to load and unload trucks so only one forklift is required for all lifting requirements. Using the Flexi also enabled the company to save on fuel costs, as the Flexi requires electric forklift batteries which come with their own rechargeable base. It is a move that reduces fumes and pollution in the workplace and wider environment, so Paperlinx is to be commended.

Leading Dandenong based cable manufacturer, Advance Cables Pty Ltd recently purchased Hyundai Electric Reach Trucks to compliment their existing fleet of Artison forklifts for their production plant.

Company Accountant Greg Palmer says the Hyundai represent excellent value for money and have been welcomed by their operators. Our decision to select the Hyundai was easy given the excellent service and support provided by Flexilift over many years.

The units are standup rider type selected for their low step on and off the machine.

Flexilift Australia Pty Ltd will be exhibiting Hyundai forklifts at the Exhibition Trade Fair from Tuesday 31st March to Thursday 2nd April 2009 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
